You've Been Phished

Phishing is the attempt to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details, often for malicious reasons in an electronic communication.

If an Email Seems Phishy:

  1. Immediately report it using the “Report email” button in your Microsoft Outlook Desktop or Web Client.  If you do not have the button, forward it as an attachment to FishSecurity@wendys.com
  2. Do not reply.
  3. Do not click any attachments or links.
  4. Do not forward it to your coworkers.

Phishing Red Flags:

  1. You do not know the sender, or it came from someone you know, but the email was unexpected.
  2. The email contains poor English, spelling, or grammar mistakes.
  3. The email asks for an urgent response or action.
  4. An "EXT" email banner appears in an email received from a valid Wendy's email address.
